Assembly

  • Unload and Stage Materials:

    • Unload Materials: Carefully unload all racking components from delivery trucks, ensuring no damage occurs during the process.

    • Stage Materials: Organize and stage materials close to the installation site in a logical order to streamline the assembly process. This includes uprights, beams, braces, safety guards, and other accessories.

  • Assemble Racking Components:

    • Design Plan Review: Review the design plan to understand the specific assembly instructions and layout.

    • Installation Sequence: Follow a systematic installation sequence, starting with the uprights. Erect each upright at designated intervals according to the layout.

    • Beams and Braces: Install horizontal beams between the uprights, ensuring they are securely locked into place. Attach diagonal and horizontal braces to provide additional stability.

    • Safety Accessories: Install any necessary safety accessories, such as rack guards and column protectors, to enhance the system’s safety and durability.

Anchoring

  • Secure Racks to the Warehouse Floor:

    • Anchor Selection: Select appropriate anchors based on the warehouse floor type and the weight the racking system will support.

    • Drilling Holes: Use a drill to create precise holes in the warehouse floor at the base of each upright.

    • Anchor Installation: Insert anchors into the drilled holes and secure them with bolts. Ensure that each anchor is tightly fastened to prevent any movement of the racking system.

Alignment

Ensure Racks are Properly Aligned and Leveled:

  • Initial Alignment:

    • Use plumb lines or laser levels to ensure that the uprights are vertically aligned. Adjust as necessary to maintain proper alignment.

    • Beam Alignment: Check that all horizontal beams are level. Use a spirit level or laser level to verify and adjust if needed.

    • Final Adjustments: After initial alignment, perform final adjustments to ensure the entire racking system is square and level. This step is crucial for the stability and safety of the racking system.

    • Verification: Re-verify the alignment and leveling after all adjustments have been made to confirm that the racking system meets the design specifications and safety standards.
